Crash data downloads/EDR (Electronic Data Recorder) reports available by Northwestern University Center for Public Safety certified technicians.

Provides data from 5 seconds prior to the crash through the crash as follows:

 

• Information on pre-crash vehicle speed and driver input such as steering angle , braking, accelerator pedal position, throttle position, and more.

• Determining impact severity.

• Seatbelt usage (status of driver and passenger: buckled/unbuckled).

• Ability to determine impact sequence of a multiple-vehicle collision.

• Assists with liability disputes.

• Assessing driver reaction time.

• Air bag deployment, ABS engagement, single events/multiple events.
